We're a dedicated "Odd Job"
service provider, specialising in one-off jobs, usually requiring additional
planning to overcome the problems of their uniqueness and lack of repetitive
familiarity. As a specialist "trade"
supplier, much of our work is done as a specialist subcontractor, to existing
event producers and video producers. We don't try to compete with our clients
by trying to do the production ourselves. To
give you an idea of what we do, here is a list of some of our work over the
last few years. |

SPORTS |
|
There is a considerable demand for
complete smaller-scale sports coverage, of 3 to 6 cameras. It’s a different
market to the 12+ camera “match of the day” coverages, but it absolutely
needs to be done neatly and reliably. |

DOWNSTREAMING & ON-SITE HOSTINGS |
|
Our mid-size truck is remarkably useful
for allowing live broadcsters to host their productions live on-site. This
can consist of downstream “versioning” a host broadcaster’s main coverage
with extra cameras, commentary and interviews, or creating an entire panel
show on location, which also serves to anchor the day’s broadcast offerings. |
|
LIVE TO AIR PANEL SHOW FOR SKY RACING
We
provided our OB Van for a four camera panel show on-location, requiring order
wires, incoming and outgoing links, fibre tails, wireless comms, in-ear IFBs,
and interfacing to event production Clearcoms.

ENTERTAINMENT, THEATRICALS, ARENA
CONCERTS AND OUTDOOR EVENTS |
|
We often supply facilities to make live
coverage of major outdoor events, either to feed large indoor or outdoor
screens, or for recording for later post-production. We don’t supply LED walls or Video
Projectors, but there are plenty of suppliers for these, with whom our
clients can shop around directly, for the best value deal (quality vs price). |

RUGBY WORLD CUP: at Three-camera live coverage of stage events and bands, combined with infomercials, sponsor information and telecasts of the rugby games, to audiences of 22,000 per day. The OB Van provided a comfortable working environment for the crew and equipment. With cabling pre-installed for the rugby season, our rigging and de-rigging times each day were greatly reduced; just drive in the van and plug in the cameras! We wired up the screens around the park, using overhead cabling, rigged with strainer wires to AS3000 safety standards, as we were crossing public areas, and needed the wiring to survive under all conditions for nearly two months.
Grand final night was wet and stormy, and added to the fans' sullen air of defeat. Our gear kept operating, even through torrential rain, gale-force winds and thunderstorms, which knocked out the stage audio and lighting on at least two occasions. Control room conditions in the van remain consistent, from storms through to heatwave conditions experienced during the Cup season.
